THQ Nordic Parent Company Acquires 11 Game Studios Including Flying Wild Hog, 34BigThings, More

THQ Nordic’s parent company Embracer Group has announced they’ve acquired eleven game developers and two game-related companies.

Here’s all of the game developers they’ve acquired:

  • Flying Wild Hog
  • Silent Games
  • Coffee Stain North
  • IUGO Mobile Entertainment
  • Purple Lamp Studios
  • Mad Head Games
  • 34BigThings
  • Nimble Giant Entertainment
  • Snapshot Games
  • Zen Studios
  • Thinking Ape Entertainment

Here are the two game-related companies they’ve acquired:

  • Quantic Lab (Q&A Assurance)
  • Sandbox Strategies (PR Firm)

Prior to the above acquisitions, THQ Nordic and Embracer Group had roughly 4,400 employees – the new companies will definitely push their total head count above 5,000 total employees, worldwide.

Embracer Group reportedly has 135 game projects in development right now, and the company reported their earnings today. Sales increased 89% for the third quarter, which ended on September 30th (roughly $276.4 million in sales), and profits prior to taxes were $112.3 million.
