Sony Interactive Entertainment, Sony Japan Studio, and Bluepoint Games released new media for their Demon’s Souls remake earlier today, and now some tidbits for the remake are trickling out. An interesting note is the remake doesn’t have difficulty options, just like the original game.

“There are no difficulty options in Demon’s Souls, and there shouldn’t be,” said Demon’s Souls remake creative director Gavin Moore (via Game Informer).

He added, “I think the original challenge is fair, it’s all about learning enemy patterns and learning your environment, knowing when to move forward in combat with that risk / reward system, when to attack and when to back off.”

Moore noted they’ve made quality of life improvements to the game, like changing the camera to make it feel more modern. Any changes made, however, are “not done easily” and get heavily discussed and tested. You can switch to the old camera, though.

Demon’s Souls is launching for PlayStation 5 on November 12th in North America and Japan, and on November 19th in Europe.
