CD Projekt RED has shared new gameplay, screenshots, and details for Cyberpunk 2077.
The new footage and details were shared in their latest “Night City Wire Episode 4” livestream today, with a focus on the vehicles you can use in the game, including the Porsche 911 Turbo.
The new Porsche 911 Turbo is based on the models that first launched back in 1974, and comes in the game as a driveable vehicle. Johnny Silverhand is somehow tied to this car..
“Johnny’s a legend of the Cyberpunk universe,” CD Projekt RED art director of characters Pawel Mielniczuk said in a press release. “When thinking about what kind of car he’d be driving through the streets of Night City, we knew it would have to be one just as legendary as he is. Having Johnny’s story in mind, and being huge fans of Porsche ourselves, the answer could only be the classic 911 Turbo.”
To further celebrate the new design, Porsche made a real life recreation of the 911 Turbo, and will be on display outside the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany, from October 15th to the 22nd. There’s also a commercial shot on location that teases the story of the car, and how it keeps a strange connection to its old owner.
CD Projekt RED also confirmed Cyberpunk 2077 will be launching for Stadia day-and-date alongside the console versions, on November 19th.
