Ciel Nosurge DX Ar Nosurge DX

Tecmo Koei and developer Gust have announced the Japanese release date for Ciel Nosurge DX and Ar Nosurge DX in Japan.

The news comes via Famitsu, revealing that Ciel Nosurge-A Poem for the Lost Stars-DX, Ar Nosurge-A Poem for the Born Stars-DX (Translation: Google Translate) will launch January 28th, 2021 in Japan for Windows PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4.

The games were announced in June of this year. Famitsu’s October 22nd edition (released on October 8th) will reveal more information.

Both games will be remakes of their original “Sage Concerto” equivalents. Ciel Nosurge launched in 2012 only in Japan for the PlayStation Vita. The life simulator tasked plays with befriending and aiding girl Ion in recovering her memories. This is done by entering her mind and fixing the world.

The game is set in the Ar tonelico series universe, and players can also scan barcodes to produce faries to repair Ion’s mind, and share messages with other players. The Re:Incarnation edition containing all the patches and subsequent episode DLC was launched in 2013.

Ar Nosurge meanwhile did come to the west, launching in 2014 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. The sequel was an RPG, fighting multiple waves of foes in battles with turn limits with Song Magic against the Genomirai Church.

Due to Ar Nosurge being released in the west, it may be possible the latter will certainly come to the west. We will keep you informed as we learn more.
