Developer miHoYo has released Genshin Impact for players worldwide.
The new free-to-play, open-world action RPG is now available for Windows PC (via their website), PlayStation 4, and both iOS (App Store), and Android (Google Play). A Nintendo Switch version is planned, but has no release window currently.
“For the past three and a half years, our team has been working towards creating a sprawling, beautiful open-world game in which players have the freedom to explore alone or bring friends along for the journey,” Forrest Liu, General President of miHoYo said in a press release. “We’re very grateful to have over 10 million players pre-registered for Genshin Impact across PS4, PC, and mobile around the world. We can’t wait to see you all in the world of Teyvat.”
Players will be able to explore the cities of Mondstadt and Liyue Harbor at launch, two of seven key cities in the Tevyat region. Each city has its own surrounding regions, monsters, stories, culture, and of course – treasure. As the game receives free updates, the game world will be expanded to add more cities, characters, stories, and even seasonal events.
