Metal Gear Solid 1 Remake Planned for PC and PS5, Says New Rumor

Hot on the heels of Windows PC rating listings for various classic Metal Gear games being spotted, a rumor has spun up that a Metal Gear Solid 1 remake is currently in production.

The new rumor comes via YouTuber RedGamingTech, who has been accurate with previous sources on hardware leaks. The source claims the Metal Gear Solid 1 is being fully remade again, following its previous remake Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, for the Nintendo Gamecube.

The new version of the game is reportedly a “full remake,” not a remaster or an upscaled port of The Twin Snakes, and it’s set for a release on PlayStation 5 as a console exclusive, as well as Windows PC. The PC version is being worked on, however the source wasn’t sure if it would launch at the same time as the PS5 version (like other planned PS5 console-exclusives).

Furthermore, the source also claims that Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 3, and Metal Gear Solid 4 are all getting re-released as well, however these releases are just remasters and not remakes. This wasn’t confirmed to be the same thing as the PC rating listings that were spotted earlier, and wasn’t confirmed to be happening for PS5 as well.

As with any rumors – take this with a grain of salt. What do you think about the potential rumor? Sound off in the comments below!
