Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition Announced, Launches Holiday 2020

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition

Ubisoft have announced Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition during Ubisoft Forward.

Previously teased by author Bryan Lee O’Malley and chiptune band Anamanaguchi, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game launched in 2010 as a digital beat ’em up game for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It was based on the 2004 graphic novel series of the same name by O’Malley, which also earned a live-action movie in 2010 (the same year the graphic novel series ended).

For those unfamiliar, the series followed the titular Scott Pilgrim, a Toronto-based early-20’s slacker who falls in love with American delivery girl Ramona Flowers. However, Scott soon learns to get with her, he needs to go through her seven evil exes. The story was full of references to video games, while exploring the trials and tribulations of young love.

In 2014, the game was mysteriously delisted from online stores. While many believed it was a licencing issue with music used in the game, Anamanaguchi (the band who produced the music) denied this.

Now the game returns, complete with the Knives Chau and Wallace Wells add-on packs adding new characters to play as. You can find the announcement trailer below.
