Metroid Prime 4 Developer Retro Studios Seeks Lead Producer

Metroid Prime 4 Retro Studios

Retro Studios have announced they are seeking a lead producer to help with development on Metroid Prime 4.

While the game was announced in 2017, Nintendo announced production was restarted in January 2019 with Retro Studios as the developer. Information on the game has been all but silent, with no news other than reassurance the game was still being worked on.

Now, Retro Studios has announced something which could be equally promising as it is worrying for fans. The studio tweeted that they are “looking for a Lead Producer to join us on our journey to develop Metroid Prime 4!”

Needing a lead producer (or possibly a new lead producer) one year into the project has the potential to see many changes. It would be pure speculation to assume if the changes would be good or bad for the final game, or if changes would be drastic.

The job listing states duties will include “maintaining project timelines and forecasting for all products in development,” being “responsible for studio-wide communication of project status,” “ensure clear communication and swift resolution of cross-department dependencies, and more; all focused on making sure development runs smoothly.

The producer in question must have a minimum of 10 years experience in game development production, and (though not explicitly stated) living in the Austin, Texas area. Other jobs listings include Lead Graphics Engineer, Lead Animator, Lead Lighting Artist, Concept Artist, Boss / AI Designer, and more.

Metroid Prime 4 is coming soon to Nintendo Switch.
