Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster Demon Compendium Chapter 1 Trailer

Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster

Update: We originally published this story with the literal translation “Demon Book.” However, it is more accurate to use Demon Compendium (悪魔全書) as this is also a term in-game. We have updated the original article to reflect this.

Original Story:

Atlus have revealed a new trailer for Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster, showing off the demons and monsters in the game.

Dubbed the “Demon Compendium Chapter 1,” (translation: Google Translate, adjusted) it shows the models and sound bytes of the various demons, monsters, angels, spirits, and other super-natural beings inspired by cultures around the world. The next chapter will be released tomorrow, and the third on August 7th.

In Japan, Atlus is also hosting a social media contest to vote for player’s favorite demon that appeared in the new trailer, and will appear in future trailers (such as the infamous and meme’d Matador). The rankings will be revealed at a later date.

Combining the information from the Japanese website [1, 2, 3] it appears the latest trailer focuses on demons based on their categorization.

The latest trailer (combined with how the names used in the original English version) focuses on Fairy, Divine, Fallen, Yoma, Snake, Beast, Jirae, Brute, Femme, and Night.

You can find the Demon Compendium Chapter 1 trailer below.

In case you missed it, a ton of screenshots were released by Atlus, along with the announcement that the game would have Merciful difficulty as free DLC.

Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster launches Spring 2021 for Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4.
