New Injustice Project Teased by Comics Writer

Injustice 2

Injustice comics author Tom Taylor has seemingly teased an upcoming announcement; possibly a new Injustice game.

Taylor has tweeted two images, with quotes by Batman. Both feature an image of an “I” and “N” respectively, seemingly using the font from the Injustice comics and first game. Should he tweet one letter each day, it will spell out “Injustice” by August 3rd.

While Taylor may be teasing a new Injustice comics (originally intending to be promotional material for the games, but taking off in their own right), the DC FanDome event is set to premiere August 22nd. If a new Injustice game is in the works, it is entirely possible we would see it announced during this event.

DLC seems unlikely, as the game’s Legendary Edition launched in 2018. However, an Ultimate Edition had launched 10 months prior to that. Injustice 2 launched in 2017, with the first game four years before that.

A three year gap would not be entirely abnormal should WB Games and developer Netherrealm Studios seek to make this a regular franchise. Though with the upcoming PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X this Holiday, it is entirely possible this will be a next generation port of Injustice 2.

We will keep you informed as we learn more. In other news, reports claim that AT&T are looking to sell Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s gaming division for $4 billion USD.
