Studio MDHR has announced Cuphead is heading to PlayStation 4 today, and a delay in The Delicious Last Course DLC during the Summer Game Fest Indie Studio Update.
The announcement had seemingly been leaked mere hours ago, when the game appeared on the PlayStation Store ahead of the announcement.
The upcoming DLC for Cuphead– The Delicious Last Course– was also set to launch in 2020. However, it was announced during the Summer Game Fest that it is still in development, and will come out “when it’s ready.” The ongoing coronavirus pandemic and other “craziness” also contributed to the delay. However, the DLC will launch on the same day across all platforms.
It was also confirmed that Miss Chalice would play differently to Cuphead and Mugman, could be used in the main game, and the new content hinted as being on-par to a full game.
You can find the stop-motion PlayStation 4 launch trailer below.
In earlier news, a teaser for The Cuphead Show was revealed.
You can find the full rundown on the game (via Steam) below.
Cuphead is a classic run and gun action game heavily focused on boss battles. Inspired by cartoons of the 1930s, the visuals and audio are painstakingly created with the same techniques of the era, i.e. traditional hand drawn cel animation, watercolor backgrounds, and original jazz recordings.
Play as Cuphead or Mugman (in single player or local co-op) as you traverse strange worlds, acquire new weapons, learn powerful super moves, and discover hidden secrets while you try to pay your debt back to the devil!
Cuphead is available on Windows PC, Mac (both via GOG, and Steam), Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4.
