Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time Officially Announced, Launches October 2

Activision have revealed the announcement trailer for Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, during today’s Summer Games Fest presentation.

While leaked ahead of its announcement along with several images, the debut trailer was revealed today.

As Dr. Neo Cortex was sent to the past (and another planet), his return has torn the universe asunder, revealing alternate realities. Now crash must gather together the four Quantum Masks to restore the balance.

Crash now has access to new powers thanks to his new masks. This includes slowing time (to the point Nitro Crates can be avoided), and being able to walk on ceilings. Crash has new abilities by default, such as wall running, grinding on rails and even hanging underneath them.

Players will also about to play as Coco, and Cortex. While players can choose whether to play as Crash or Coco, Cortext has a different play style, using a ray-gun that can transform enemies and other hazards into platforms (that are either solid or bouncy).

The game is now available for pre-order. Those who buy the game digitally will get the Totally Tubular costumes for Crash and Coco at launch.
