IOI Interactive has announced Hitman 3 for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
The finale of the World of Assassination trilogy, we know from the PlayStation Blog and the press release (via Games Press) that players will once again explore exotic locales while attempting to assassinate their targets discreetly.
Agent 47, supported by his Agency handler Diana Burnwood, must now team up with long-lost friend Lucas Grey; in their mission to eliminate Providence.
Game Director Mattias Engström explains “HITMAN 3 has a much darker tone than the previous games in the trilogy. On top of the core Hitman experience, we are mixing in some surprise elements, an evocative atmosphere and a very real sense of closure.”
The game will feature six locations, and progress from Hitman 2 will carry over into Hitman 3. Players will also seemingly be able to “import” locations from other games in the modern trilogy “and play all 20+ locations from the trilogy in one place.”
