PQube and developer IndieLeague Studio have announced Zengeon, an ancient Chinese-inspired roguelite, is now available on Steam, and coming to consoles.
As stated in the press release, six students of the Celestial College must find the Memory Fragments to protect the Blessed Land from the Demon God Dark Emptiness. Each student controls a Guardian spirit with its own abilities and playstyles.
Levels are randomized, including its power ups, enemies, bosses, and puzzles. When players die, they lose everything except their collected memory fragments. Players can also team up with up to three friends online in co-op.
Curiously, the game’s Steam Page states it was already released on the platform on June 24th, 2019. According to SteamDB (a website dedicated to tracking the changes on Steam’s servers) the only recent changes to the game’s description, and adding and removing the Chinese title (神明在上).

Choose from six playable characters, each with their own attacks, skills, and items. It is up to you, as one of the students of the Celestial Academy, to repel the Dark Emptiness and repair the seal in the Blessed Land!
Endlessly Replayable
Each venture into the Blessed Land is different, with varying stage layouts, enemy placements, and item pick-ups. The battle will be tough – but with practice and perseverance, you will be able to push farther than your last attempt. While pick-up items are lost on defeat, each character has unique story items that a kept permanently once unlocked.
Zengeon is available via Windows PC, Mac (both via Steam), and 2020 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
