PlatinumGames have announced that the physical version of The Wonderful 101: Remastered will be delayed, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
We had previously reported that the game’s physical version- as a reward for Kickstarter backers- had been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Now, we have official word from PlatinumGames that the delay has affected all physical versions, but not digital versions. You can find the full statement (via Twitter) below.
“Due to the spread of COVID-19, the store dates for <physical> versions of The Wonderful 101 have been postponed. New dates are June 30th for NA and July 3rd for EU. We apologize to those who have been anticipating the game’s arrival, and hope everyone is staying safe.
The digital release dates for these regions are still as originally planned: May 19th for NA and May 22nd for EU!”

The Wonderful 101 is a “Unite Action” action-adventure game developed by PlatinumGames Inc., directed by action game luminary Hideki Kamiya, and originally released on the Nintendo Wii U.
In this game, players take control of the Wonderful Ones, heroes from all over the world chosen to defend the Earth from all manner extraterrestrial threats! When the peaceful Blossom City comes under attack by alien invaders, Wonder-Red, Wonder-Blue, and the rest of the Wonderful Ones suit up and unite to save the world!
The Wonderful 101: Remastered will be released on Nintendo Switch, with versions for other platforms becoming available via stretch goals. We also plan to add a host of amazing extras as stretch goals are met, with the goal of making The Wonderful 101: Remastered the definitive depiction of our heroes’ exploits!
The Wonderful 101: Remastered launches digitally May 19th in North America, May 22nd in Europe, and June 11th in Japan, on Windows PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4.
