CI Games Confirm Lords of the Fallen 2 Still in Development, Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 Announced

CI Games

CI Games have confirmed Lords of the Fallen 2 is still in development, along with the announcement that Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is in development.

During an interview with Strefa Inwestorow, CI Games President Marek Tyminski confirmed Lords of the Fallen 2 is still in production, in spite of developer Defiant Studios being dropped in May 2019. Now, CI Games will be developing the game themselves, using subcontractors for some aspects. It will be coming to PC, and unannounced consoles.

“Work on Lords of the Fallen 2 is moving forward. Experienced international developers have been the project heads and the heads of creation. We have already developed a modernized vision of the game, based on what has already been done with the game before. We are currently recruiting in three locations at the same time, including Warsaw, where our studies are or will be soon. Ultimately, we decided to develop and build our own team, giving subcontractors only game components. We are just starting cooperation with the first partners. Lords of the Fallen 2 will be created in a similar production model as Sniper GW Contracts. The title is prepared mainly for the new generation of consoles as well as the PC platform.”

Tyminski also confirmed Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 was in development. He promises a “large new feature” that will be of interest to fans and new players alike, along with a new story set in a new part of the world. This is inspite of the game having a smaller budget that the prior title.

While it is still too early to announce a release date, Tyminski did suggest a 2020 release was possible. The game would also be coming to PC, and unspecified consoles.

“Work on Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is in full swing. It is too early to give the release date of the game, but I do not rule out that it will take place this year. The team creating the series consists of experienced people, so work on the next part is much more predictable, it is easier to plan and react on a regular basis if something is not going according to plan. We are preparing a large new feature of the game that should encourage the purchase of a new part of both fans of the series and new players. We will also introduce many other improvements over the previous part. It will be a completely new story in another, new region of the world. The game will go to consoles and PC, and its production budget will be lower than the previous one. With regular release of games in the series, we will also be able to partially reduce marketing expenses.”
