Ubisoft Exploring Options for “Digital Experience”, After E3 2020 Cancellation

Ubisoft

After the cancellation of E3 2020 due to the coronavirus, Ubisoft have announced they are “exploring other options for a digital experience.”

Speaking in a tweet from their official Twitter Account, Ubisoft stated the following:

“The health and well-being of teams, player and partners is our top priority, so while we’re disappointed, we fully support the ESA’s decision to cancel E3 2020. E3 is and will continue to be a moment where we come together as a community and share our love of games.

We’re exploring other options for a digital experience that will allow us to share all the exciting news we have planned, stay tuned for more!”

The “digital experience” is most likely to be a live-stream, though Ubisoft have rarely kept things so simple for E3.

Previous years have shown them often utilizing dancing groups (usually with someone in a panda costume) to promote a new Just Dance game [1, 2, Editor’s Note: The first link utilizes a third-party upload].

What will we see from Ubisoft? What do you think? Sound off in the comments below!

In earlier news; Microsoft, and Devolver Digital have also announced they would be hosting their own live-stream events in light of E3 2020’s cancellation.
