HunieDev, the developer of HuniePop 2: Double Date, has announced the game has been delayed. This was due to serious health issues they are suffering.

The developer announced the decision via Twitter.

“Hey guys. Unfortunately, it seems I have once again developed a serious health condition (akin to my mid-2017 health issues, if you’ve been following that long) that will delay HP2, an already very delayed game, more.

I sincerely apologize. I don’t know how long it will take me to fully recover, but I mist prioritize my health for however long the healing process may take.

All shitposting aside, you guys are some of the most patient and supportive players a dev can ask for (and for a titty puzzle game no less) and I’m extremely grateful to have you.

I feel like the universe has thrown every obstacle it can think of at this game’s development, but, HuniePop 2 (as you can see from the gameplay trailer) is mostly done, it will come out, and it will be epic.”
