Fans have noticed the timed exclusive deal for Final Fantasy VII Remake on PlayStation 4 has been extended.
The box art for both the game and its Deluxe Edition has now updated with a new date on the timed exclusivity [1, 2]. You can find both of them (via Amazon) below:
As can be seen in the bottom right hand corner of the box, the timed exclusivity lasts until “4/10/2021” (April 4th, 2021). The exclusivity was originally set until March 3rd, 2021 [1, 2].
Considering the game itself was delayed from March 3rd, 2020 to April 10th, 2020, it is somewhat expected. Even so, the new date has granted an extra six days to the year-long exclusivity on PlayStation 4.
In addition, the official Final Fantasy VII Remake Twitter account posted a new render of the characters in-game. You can find that in full below:
In case you missed it, you can find the most recent trailer here. This includes the main theme Hollow, as well as footage of Red XII, the Shinra executives, Leviathan, the Honey Bee Inn, and Cloud in a dress.
Final Fantasy VII Remake is launching for PlayStation 4 on April 10th, 2020. The console exclusivity ends April 4th, 2021.
