Actor and former wrestler Dave Bautista will become a playable character in upcoming shooter Gears 5.
Details are scant at this time, with announcements only coming via the official Twitter accounts for Gears of War and Bautista, both indicating the character would be available September 15th (after the WWE Clash of Champions pay-per-view event). It is noted that the addition of Bautista will be free, likely indicating either free DLC, or part of an update.
The earlier character pack trailers also revealed characters from Halo: Reach would be playable in multiplayer and horde modes. This may also apply to Bautista. The Halo: Reach characters will be available for those who purchase the Ultimate Edition, or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Those who buy the Xbox Game Pass membership by September 16th will also be able to play as the Terminator.
In earlier news, Gears 5 will ban any depiction of smoking from the game.
Gears 5 launches September 10th for Windows PC and Xbox One.
