    The first screenshots and official description for Star Ocean: First Departure R have been revealed.

    The new media and info comes via the official page for the May-announced remaster, over on Square Enix’s official Tokyo Game Show 2019 portal.

    The first game in the Star Ocean series in HD! Here is the origin story of the stars.

    The remake of Star Ocean – Star Ocean: First Departure – first released in 2007, appears with new features and a high-definition upgrade. The game is fully voiced with new recordings by the original cast, character illustrations have been redrawn based on original designs, and you can switch between both illustrations.

    Star Ocean: First Departure R is currently in development for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. A release date isn’t confirmed.
