It’s been nearly a year since we learned a new Dragon Age game is coming, and while we haven’t heard anything new – one of the lead developers on the game has already left the studio.
Dragon Age 4 lead producer Fernando Melo has confirmed his departure from BioWare, the studio behind the franchise. Melo left the studio within a week of Anthem lead producer resigning.
Melo was a senior producer Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2 before taking the mantle of director of online development in 2011. He then left that role in 2015 to work for the online bits of Mass Effect: Andromeda, and was lastly made lead producer on the next Dragon Age game.
Melo said his departure came from wanting “time to disconnect and explore a couple ideas for next chapter in my career”.
We only have the original teaser trailer to go off for anything official on the new Dragon Age game, codenamed “Morrison.”
