While it’s been nearly five years since Dead Island 2 was announced, Deep Silver has continued to try completing the game. Today, we’ve learned the company has assigned a new developer on the title.

Their subsidiary Dambuster Studios has taken over development for the franchise, and they’re now leading development on Dead Island 2 – news confirmed in the company’s new financial report.

Previously, the game had some development woes, but it seems like THQ Nordic is still intent on seeing the game to completion.
