The latest V-Jump (via Ryokutya2089) has confirmed Goku won’t be the only playable character for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.
The game will let you play as Vegeta, Piccolo, and Gohan will be available as both playable and support characters, with Vegeta becoming available after you visit Planet Namek. Tien, Krillin, Yamcha, and Chiaotzu will also appear as only support characters.
Support characters will respond to player actions and input, and can do actions themselves with input commands. After an attack, you can also send off support characters to pursue your enemies, or guard against new attacks.
More tidbits on the overall design of the game were also revealed. As teased before, you can increase your stats in the game via battling and eating. The magazine also shows off Robot Pirate looking enemies, which you can find in an underwater lair.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is launching sometime next year for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
