Google has announced their new gaming / streaming platform, Stadia.
The new platform will allow users to instantly stream games right from their web browser or internet-ready device. Featured above, you can view the announcement trailer for the platform.
An example was given where a user could click the “Play Now” button on a YouTube trailer for Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey – the user would then be able to play the game within seconds.
At launch, games will be playable via streaming on desktops, laptops, TVs, tablets, phones, and even TVs via Chromecast. Here’s a look at the controller:
The controller features the typical face buttons, analog sticks, and shoulder buttons – as well as two unique buttons: a sharing button to instantly stream or record to YouTube, as well as a Google Assistant button. It also has a built-in microphone, and connects to the game you’re playing via wifi.
