New Update for The Messenger Adds New Game+ Mode, Controls Remapping, and More

Sabotage Studio has released a new update for The Messenger.

The new update adds a New Game+ mode, controls remapping, various other quality of life improvements, a jukebox feature, and more. Featured above, you can view a new trailer for the update.

Players who have obtained 100% progression of the base game can get a new save slot to start the New Game+ mode, which allows you to start the game over with all the unlocked upgrades – as well as the windmill shuriken. As with most New Game+ modes, damage you receive and boss HP are both increased. This can be increased multiple times, as well.

Lastly, Sabotage Studio teased “some pretty big news”, which they’ll be revealing during the Kinda Funny Games Showcase on December 8th at 10 AM Pacific, which is also getting livestreamed on Twitch.

The Messenger is now available for Windows PC and Nintendo Switch.
