Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Character DLC Selection Finalized

Nintendo has confirmed they’ve finalized the selection of their post-launch downloadable content fighters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

All five characters have been picked, news confirmed by director Masahiro Sakurai on Twitter. The five new characters, detailed in our previous report on the game’s “Fighters Pass,” will be released through February of 2020.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s DLC line-up is now complete,” Sakurai said in a tweet. “This time the selection was made entirely by Nintendo. I decide if we can create a fighter based on their selection, then come up with the plan.”

Sakurai added, “It’s great to dream about your favorite character joining the battle and I appreciate your passion, but please try to stay on topic when replying to tweets and refrain from flooding us, and other users, with requests when we’re not specifically asking for feedback. Thank you!”

Nintendo recently confirmed a bevy of new details revealed today for the game. In case you missed it, you can find our first hands on gameplay for the game, complete with audio commentary+impressions, here.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is launching on December 7th for the Nintendo Switch.
