Hellgate: London Returns on Steam With New Publisher

Remember Hellgate: London? Niche Gamer remembers Hellgate: London. Those were dark times. The game is coming back from the dead, via Korean publisher Hanbitsoft.

The tragically disappointing action RPG will be re-released for Windows PC via Steam, on November 15th. Featured above, you can view a new trailer for the game’s re-re-release.

Originally developed by Flagship Studios, a studio made up of former Blizzard North alum, the game had tons of not just promise but hype behind what they essentially touted it as – a Diablo-like shooter action RPG that would reinvent multiple genres. It had its share of issues, including network lag, visual errors, and more. It was a bad time.

It’s worth pointing out the Steam page for Hellgate: London only mentions single-player mode, meaning this could actually be the game sans its online multiplayer – which kind of defeats the purpose of re-releasing the game entirely.
