Tripwire Interactive and Antimatter Games’ multiplayer shooter Rising Storm 2: Vietnam has just received a massive new update.
Update 1.1 adds a multiplayer campaign that allows 64 players to determine the outcome of the Vietnam War over the course of several missions. Players choose to join either the Northern or Southern forces and fight for control of a map of Vietnam by choosing which territories to attack in a strategic mode before determining the victor in a standard multiplayer match.
The campaign runs from 1965 to 1975, with historic events altering the conditions of the matches, including the weapons and strategic options available during combat. You can view the launch trailer for the new campaign mode above.
The update also includes a long list of balance changes and a new map, Highway 14, that won a community modding contest. You can see the full patch notes here.
Rising Storm 2: Vietnam is available on Windows PC via Steam for $24.99.
