Breast Physics Added Back to Dead or Alive 6, Now More Realistic

When Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja debuted Dead or Alive 6, a staple feature of the franchise was noticeably gone – the breasts physics. Western gaming journalists naturally doubled down on this, asking if the latest in the series was finally toning the sex appeal down.

The developer noted they’re going for a more realistic approach to the fighter, removing the jiggly breasts and added more realistic bodily injuries. Longtime fans of the franchise were understandably upset – however, now we’ve learned breast jiggles are back, and then some.

Game director and producer Yohei Shimbori was showing off the latest build of the game at this year’s Gamescom (via Dualshockers), where the various lady lumps were bouncing once again. Featured above, you can view new footage of the swaying breasts in action.

Shimbori-san noted that they’re working on a currently unnamed, entirely new physics engine – meaning more realistic breast jiggling. Furthermore, each character’s costume will allow for greater or lesser physical movement.

It’s worth noting this is a development build of the game, and as such, this is not indicative of the level of quality to expect in the finished product.

In related news, series mainstays Hitomi and Leifang were recently confirmed for the game – you can read more about that here.

Dead or Alive 6 is launching across Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One sometime early next year.
