We’ve learned that the physical version for Spyro Reignited Trilogy actually ships with only the original game playable from the get-go.

While Spyro the Dragon is playable from the start, you’ll need to download both Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon before having access to either – news confirmed by the game’s official website.

The official Spyro Twitter account later clarified that both sequels will be automatically downloaded upon launching the first game, but provided you have network access.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy is launching across PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 21st.
