inXile Entertainment has announced the Windows PC release date for The Bard’s Tale IV: Barrows Deep.

The latest in their dungeon crawling RPG franchise will launch for PC on September 18th. Pre-orders are now available on the game’s official website. If you were a Kickstarter backer or pre-order the Platinum or Ultimate editions of the game, you’ll get access to a beta today.

The PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Mac, and Linux versions are coming sometime later this year. A new “The Making of Living Art” video was released alongside the date:

Over one hundred years later, the terrible events of Skara Brae’s violent destruction are nearly forgotten. In dark ruins below, an evil has waited patiently. Until now. Fanatics are gathering control, the famous Adventurers Guild has been outlawed, and you must rise up in defiance to become the hero that the realm needs.
