While Dragon Ball Super has ended their run on television, the first movie to follow it has been fully unveiled.
Curtly subtitled Dragon Ball Super: Broly, the new movie stars – you guessed it, the Legendary Super Saiyan Broly as the main antagonist, and it’s set for a premiere before the end of this year in Japan. Featured above, you can view the first teaser for the movie.
Here’s a look at the official poster:
Broly first made his appearance in the Dragon Ball franchise in the Broly Triple Threat movies, which premiered back in 1993 with Dragon Ball Z: Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan. He later re-appeared for the two sequels, and in a variety of other forms and of course, in video game adaptations.
A western premiere wasn’t confirmed, however if it follows the release of the previous film, Resurrection ‘F’, it could be licensed by Funimation and premiering in western theaters in a few months.
The latest game in the franchise, Dragon Ball FighterZ, is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, with the Nintendo Switch version launching 28th September, 2018. If you missed our review, you can find it here (we highly recommend it!)
