Pathfinder: Kingmaker Gets New Publisher with Deep Silver, Release Set for August 2018

Deep Silver has confirmed they’ve picked up the publishing duties for Pathfinder: Kingmaker.

The upcoming tactical RPG, which is developed by Owlcat Games and bound for Windows PC, Mac, and Linux, was successfully crowdfunded last year.

It promises a robust, story-driven single-player experience that is based on the Pathfinder series. It also has storied games writer and designer Chris Avellone on board.

“We have ambitious plans for Pathfinder: Kingmaker,” said Owlcat Games boss Oleg Shpilchevsky in a press release. “We want to reach out to the maximum number of players across the globe, making our brand easily accessible, maintaining quality and doing right by the fanbase. Working with Deep Silver ensures we can step up our retail marketing and benefit from the unique experience offered with Koch.”

While details are still a bit scant in regards to the overall scope and story of the game, it is based on the Pathfinder series of the same name.

Alongside the news for a publisher is a new release window: August of this year. In case you missed it, you can find our thorough hands-on preview for Pathfinder: Kingmaker via this year’s Game Developers Conference here (we’re definitely excited for it!).
