Rumor: New BioShock Game in Development

A new rumor (via Kotaku) is pointing to a new BioShock game being developed by an unknown 2K Games studio.

The rumor comes via a report detailing the tribulations of Mafia III developer Hangar 13.

“Next door (to the Mafia III developer Hangar 13), a small group of people were working on a project code-named Parkside, quietly recruiting from across the video game industry for a game so secret, they wouldn’t even tell their colleagues at Hangar 13 about it,” the report said.

“Word got out, though, that it was in fact a new game in one of the most interesting shooter franchises of the past decade: BioShock.”

Reportedly, the new BioShock game will be using Unreal Engine 4.

The last game in the series was BioShock Infinite, which launched across Windows PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 in 2013. It was later re-released as part of the BioShock Collection in 2016 across Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
