Sega has released Phantasy Star Online 2: Cloud in Japan for the Nintendo Switch.

The game utilizes a cloud server, meaning lengthy downloads and near-constant updates will not be required for the game. It will run at 30FPS and there might be lag pending your network environment. Despite running on the cloud, Sega still recommends a stable network.

It’s worth mentioning that the Switch version cannot play with versions outside the PC version, meaning there’s no cross-play with the PlayStation versions. However, PC and Switch use the same Sega ID.

Phantasy Star Online 2 has been available across Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and PS Vita in Japan.
