Fourth Game for The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Primed as Last Entry For That Storyline

The latest Dengeki magazine (via Ryokutya2089) has confirmed the recently announced fourth entry in he Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel series will be the last for that storyline.

The news comes via Falcom president and CEO Toshihiro Kondo, who noted they planned on the third game being the final entry in that timeline, however they felt it was difficult to end it there and made a tough choice.

He said that after that game’s ending, he wants to release a fourth game as soon as possible, next year. That game is already planned to be released before September of next year.

Finally, Kondo noted that the next game will definitely be the last one. The team is working towards resolving all the questions in the Empire Arc for its conclusion.

It’s worth pointing out that while this game might be the last for the Trails of Cold Steel series (Sen no Kiseki in Japan), Falcom will naturally move onto another timeline with a new region and set of characters.
