Massively Popular Tencent MOBA “Arena of Valor” Heads to Nintendo Switch

Tencent has announced a Nintendo Switch port for their wildly popular MOBA, Arena of Valor.

If the game doesn’t sound familiar, that’s because it recently launched under that name here in North America. Its original name, Honor of Kings, carries a lot more weight after you learn it has over 50 million active daily users, as well as an excess of 200 million users in China alone. The game is so popular they limit how long you can play, especially if you’re under 12 years old.

Arena of Valor currently has 35 heroes that span the various playstyles you’ll be accustomed to within the genre, including tanks, healers, warriors, mages, and more. There’s a bunch of modes like 1v1, 3v3, and 5v5, as well as various things you’ll see in any MOBA like double kills and so on.

A beta for the Switch version of Arena of Valor is planned for sometime this winter.
