This week’s Jump magazine (via Rykutya2089) has Bandai Namco revealing new characters for Dragon Ball FighterZ.
The magazine confirms Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta, as well as Androids 16 and Android 18. They join the previously confirmed characters: Piccolo, Krillin, Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Trunks, Cell, Frieza, and Majin Buu.
Also confirmed is a “what if” story including both androids, where Android 16 is revived and mighty warriors are defeated one by one – ending in a high-quality animation climax with Goku and crew. Android 17 can be summoned with Android 18 and 16’s combination attack, however it remains unclear if this is the extend of his appearance.
Jump also reveals the game will have a three-on-three party mode where players can assemble their own team of three players and fighter another team of three players. Each player will control their own individual character, and you can swap active players in real-time.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is set for a release across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One sometime early next year. In case you missed it – we recorded exclusive, hands-on gameplay for the game, complete with our commentary on how it plays and feels. You can find that here.
