Bethesda Softworks and id Software have shared a new trailer for Quake Champions, alongside a launch date for the game’s closed beta.
Featured above, the new trailer introduces the character Anarki, who’s described as a “transhuman punk” and someone that “sticks out like a sore thumb.”
Here’s a brief synopsis for Anarki, via Bethesda:
Among the hardened warriors and alien conquerors inhabiting the Dreamlands, Anarki sticks out like a sore thumb. It’s tough to keep up with the transhuman punk when he’s blazing trails around the Arena on his hoverboard, but his speed is just one of the things that allow him to stand on the same level as Champions like Nyx and Scalebearer. Anarki is one of the Champions you’ll be able to try out during the Closed Beta.
In case you missed it, previous character trailers introduced Scalebearer and Nyx. The game’s closed beta is set to launch on April 6th, with the initial group of accepted testers. Bethesda is planning on adding more users as the beta continues. You can sign up for the beta here.
Quake Champions is currently in development for PC and has a 2017 release window.
