A new teaser is making the rounds, and it seems like Beamdog is at it again with remastering and expanding a classic PC RPG.
The new teaser, seen over on planescape.com, was also cleverly touted by Beamdog head Trent Oster over on Twitter as “Plan Escape.”
In case that metaphorical club didn’t hit you over the head hard enough, they’re clearly teasing an enhanced remaster for the classic RPG, Planescape: Torment.
Upon further inspection, the teaser site source code has five hexadecimal characters, which when converted to ASCII, spell out “PSTEE,” or Planescape: Torment Enhanced Edition.
The teaser site is set to expire at 5PM Eastern on March 28th, so we’ll find out what the hubbub is about tomorrow night.
Beamdog have carved out their own niche in remastering and expanding old computer RPGs, as they’ve remastered and re-released both Baldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate 2, as well as developed a completely new expansion for the original Baldur’s Gate, titled “Siege of Dragonspear.” You can read our review for that here.
