Atlus has announced Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey for the Nintendo 3DS.

The game is set for a release sometime this fall in Japan. A remastered, and updated version of the original Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey launched back in 2009 for the Nintendo DS, the new game also has new things added to it.

The game features a new character, Alex, who is voiced by Megumi Han. Described as a strange and mysterious girl, she randomly attacks the protagonist during the journey within Schwarzwelt. What causes her to go and attack the protagonist?

Atlus is saying this version of the game is a must-play for fans of the series, as it features the aforementioned updates for a modern platform. There’s also a new ending path added to the game.
