Bandai Namco has announced new guest character downloadable content for Tekken 7.
The two new characters will be added to the game post-launch as paid downloadable content, and they’ll be from other game franchises. That’s basically all we have to go off for now.
Bandai also talked up the game’s other post-launch DLC in a convenient schedule, including: a Summer 2017 DLC pack which offers a brand-new game mode and more than 50 new costumes, followed by a Winter 2017 and next Spring 2018 DLC packs that add the aforementioned guest characters (as well as special costumes for said characters and a special stage).
There’s also a season pass that gets you all three DLC packs, as well as 35 exclusive metallic costumes.
Previously, Tekken series producer Katsuhiro Harada confirmed that post-launch, paid DLC for the game will only include “special characters,” meaning classic fighters won’t be put behind a paywall. The game’s first confirmed guest character, Street Fighter’s Akuma, will be included in the base game.
Tekken 7 is launching across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on June 2nd.
