February 18, 2017 at 12:42 amYou’re aware they do more than just Senran Kagura and Ys aren’t you? Especially now that Marvelous no longer deals with Natsume.
There’s also not much you’re going to do about being known as “the titty company” with games like Senran, because no matter how much effort they put in that’s all some people are going to see.
Can’t exactly blame them for being frustrated by peoples’ close-mindedness.

February 18, 2017 at 1:05 amI do. But, I’m also incredibly irritated at them by their sloppy handling of the Senran Kagura franchise ever since people started calling them the “the titty company”.
Especially so with them giving fuck all towards SK, despite it basically being their best seller, and instead deciding to plug their Twitter Account runner’s fucking cats instead of advertising their game.
I’m not necessarily ‘happy’ that Ys is getting the short end of the stick, but I’ll gladly support it if it means XSeed might have to stop and take a fucking look at how they can stop shitting the bed and pissing off customers when compared to Marvelous EU.

February 18, 2017 at 2:33 amAwesome news! Nice to see more Falcom games on PC again. NISA is pretty good about doing good ports, so I’m hopeful. Hopefully their localization will be all right. They tend to be shaky on that end.

February 18, 2017 at 2:39 amI’ll readily admit that this is pure pettiness, through and through. Don’t get me wrong, either; I am disappointed that Ys 8’s gonna get fuckin’ MEME’d on. Hard.
I’m just very, very tired of XSeed putting more effort in to localizing Falcom games than games made by their parent company (Marvelous) and having to get pretty much 90% of all news from Marvelous EU. While Xseed posts about cats and all the cool dudes in ‘totally not Harvest Moon’. All the while Marvy EU puts effort in to the physical releases for SK, and Xseed just prints some playing cards, slaps them in a box, and charges a surplus on it before shipping it out the door.
I’d rather NISA go extinct for everything other than the shit NIS pumps out, and sometimes I’d even prefer them to stop doing that.

Neither of those games have any kind of PC version available, not even one of those obscure Chinese PC ports. So these PC versions are probably made by the publishers themselves~.

February 18, 2017 at 7:24 amIt was more of a rhetorical question to hammer in that it is a “fuck nisa and their meme garbage humor and bugs” type of post, not “why xseed didn’t got this even though they probably don’t have enough manpower to port this thing to PC” one. I would be happy/content with probably any other publisher that makes japanese games appear on western market, i don’t have a fanboy boner for particular publisher, i am just scared that this game is gonna be a victim of their horrendous localization. Because i don’t think there is too much to censor.
Juan Manuel M. Suárez
February 18, 2017 at 7:29 amWhile I am getting this game (in fact, I already preordered the PSV LE) in order to support Falcom, I’m not really thrilled about somebody other than XSEED handling a Falcom game. It’s like you are used to a certain style and all of a sudden you see it go elsewhere; that said, I had a feeling things would be like this back when Tokyo Xanadu got taken by Aksys. Hopefully, NISA’s localization will be more on par with their quality on Danganronpa than some of their more questionable works~.

February 18, 2017 at 7:41 amWhat the fuck?
First Tokyo Xanadu goes to Aksys and now Y’s VIII goes to fucking NISA of all companies. This honestly feels like Falcom backstabbing Xseed. Did Xseed or Marvelous piss off Falcom or something?
The only silver lining is that we get Japanese audio. Something Xseed never managed to do.
DizzyGear
February 18, 2017 at 7:47 amXseed does have expertise in the PC field though. From what i read getting the ancient PC version of TiTS 2nd running on a modern OS with the PSP exclusive features and translation grafted in was no easy feat.
…And this was their thanks.
DizzyGear
February 18, 2017 at 7:49 amThat was their parent company Marvelous.
aaaa
February 18, 2017 at 7:53 am“game will have Japanese audio with English and French subtitles” how is this considered bad?
Etherblaze
February 18, 2017 at 8:06 amIt’s actually great until you consider that NISA is the one localizing it. So dual audio but most likely the game will be needlessly censored and/or dialogue changed because of sensibilities or because it’s “funnier” to do it their way.
Also technical issues like console crashing, overheating, game-breaking bugs, etc.
Juan Manuel M. Suárez
February 18, 2017 at 8:13 amMoney and promise of a PC port, more than likely~.
Juan Manuel M. Suárez
February 18, 2017 at 8:16 amWhile it’s not nice to see XSEED losing publishing rights, it’s a business first and foremost. I’m guessing the whole PC version has a lot to do with this, neither Tokyo Xanadu nor Ys VIII have PC versions, not even Chinese ones yet Aksys and NISA are bringing the games over with that added bonus: PC version~.
XSEED and Falcom had a deal for just five games or so, everything else was up for grabs by whoever puts in the money and whatnot. Like I said, it’s a business, I don’t think you can really say Falcom is backstabbing XSEED if XSEED just can’t keep up~.
Juan Manuel M. Suárez
February 18, 2017 at 8:19 amUnlike Atlus and Aksys? I realize NISA has a lot of stuff to make up for but you are talking as if XSEED has been the one and only quality publisher and that’s just not the case~.
DizzyGear
February 18, 2017 at 8:37 amXseed pretty much single handedly build up the Y’s brandname in the west with both consoles and their enhanced English PC versions.
So yeah, i see it as a backstabbing that they screwed Xseed out of Y’s VIII in favor of a company that hasn’t worked on a single goddamn Falcom game with a reputation for questionable quality.
And besides NISA doesn’t even do their PC ports in house but outsources them.
Chocolate ISISCream
February 18, 2017 at 8:44 amXSEED: “We shouldn’t have spent the money on dubbing Akiba’s Bomb… I don’t think we’ll even be able to localize Peach Beach Splash at this rate.”
Juan Manuel M. Suárez
February 18, 2017 at 8:48 amIt’s a business. It doesn’t matter if XSEED helped or not, not to mention it could be argued that PC gamers knew about Ys long before XSEED came into the picture. Fan translations for Eternal, Felghana and AoN existed because people craved to play those games. I see a lot of people being overly emotional about this, it’s a shame for XSEED but it’s a business, so it really doesn’t matter if NISA outsources PC ports or not, what matters is that they can provide it. That Falcom cares about that audience is actually good~.
If there’s one thing to be worried about is quality of localization. I think we all hope NISA won’t fuck up. But other than that, people are just being too emotional. There’s no backstabbing, it’s just business~.
catazxy
February 18, 2017 at 8:49 amOh shit, I’ve been hyped about this game, but now….idk
DizzyGear
February 18, 2017 at 9:07 amWell can you blame people being emotional about this? If you followed Xseed’s translation blog you know how passionate they are about Falcoms games and that passion showed in the end products. Especially the enhanced PC versions.
NISA on the other hand is best known these days for their crap translation, censorship, bugs, greedy DLC schemes and not giving a fuck about their audience.
IMO I think this is a bad business decision. For one it probably soured the relation with Xseed/Marvelous and if NISA fucks up with a bad localization and/or censorship the fingers will point to Falcom as well for handing the game to NISA.
DizzyGear
February 18, 2017 at 9:17 amWhat are you on about. They just released the rather text heavy Fate/Extella with rather a classy CE.
I’m pretty sure they’ll announce SK Peach Beach sooner or later.
The only thing i’m salty about is they skipped Uppers and Net High because they are Vita exclusive.
Himegami Aisa
February 18, 2017 at 9:34 amDanganronpa isn’t free of their “quality” at all so I have no faith in that. February 18, 2017 at 10:52 amXSeed’s passion is appreciated but the “muh censorship” argument isn’t a good enough one to hate NISA as much as people do.
Especially when the typical reasons to hate on them aren’t consistent in every game.
The “greedy DLC schemes” haven’t hit many of the PC ports. Not Disgeaea, not Phantom Brave, not Criminal Girls, etc.
NISA has fucked some stuff up but they’ve also become one of those companies people hate for the sake of hating. It makes the people who hate on them look more overly butthurt than them looking actually bad as a company at this point.

February 18, 2017 at 11:16 amNISA offered a faster release and PC Port at a cheaper price probably, the price will be paid by the consumer with YS getting a terrible translation, censorship, cut content/text, bugs, glitches and hell knows what. FALCOM wanted fast money and NISA abide to it where XSeed wanted to do it properly and with quality.

February 18, 2017 at 12:12 pm“Especially when the typical reasons to hate on them aren’t consistent in every game.”
They consistently fuck up.
DizzyGear
February 18, 2017 at 12:16 pmIts a perfectly valid reason to hate on them for the censorship since they were unwilling to release criminal girls uncensored on PC which for me indicated that they in fact do not give a fuck about what their audience wants given the flack they caught for censoring the Vita release and its even more heavily censored sequel.
Also if NISA actually fixed the shit people pointed out to them people would have hated them allot less today instead of having those mistakes keep haunting them.
Just imagine if they just did the right thing and patched the crashing/CPU melting bug in The Witch and the 100 knight. Or released a patch to change back Esty Erhearts name back in Atelier Meruru and apologized for the sneaking in that retarded Esty Dee phun in the final product.
I certainly would have forgiven them if they had done that.
But no. Instead their stance was basically “fuck you” on those 2 issues.
As for the DLC i was mostly referring to their overprized Disgaea DLC on console. Like how their Disgaea 3 DLC pack still costs 50 bucks to this day.

February 18, 2017 at 12:56 pmIt’s not only censorship, but also the lack of quality in the localizations that result in bugs and sometimes hardware damage.

February 18, 2017 at 2:22 pmXSeed has been localizing Falcom’s games for over six years, they are partly responsible for YS gaining western exposure. Himegami Aisa
February 18, 2017 at 2:40 pmI don’t think I’ve heard anyone whose only or even main reason for hating NISA is censorship. They have a whole host of problems as you mention, from poor localisation choices to introducing bugs to price gouging and much more, and its poor reputation is well-deserved.

February 18, 2017 at 2:43 pmI haven’t played too many games by Aksys but I distinctly recall the editor for the Zero Escape games being awful in both introducing meme shit and censoring shit he didn’t like. And you have to be joking with Atlus, seriously.

February 18, 2017 at 4:42 pmErr, no, you seem to have completely missed my point that Aksys and Atlus (seriously, between completely fucking Europe with SMTIV, the absolutely hack job of Apocalypse, their arrogance over people calling for Japanese audio, the similar “liberties” they take with their script amongst others I don’t see how anyone can be a fan of Atlus USA) aren’t all that either.
uncle_alfred
February 18, 2017 at 4:52 pmI will most probably end up buying it too, unless it will end up as shoddy port with game breaking bugs that make it impossible, or painful to play it.
Ideally i would also love for xseed to have it, but i believe some other publishers could also push a decent product on the market that respects the people that purchase it. Aside from nisa, sadly.
Juan Manuel M. Suárez
February 18, 2017 at 5:45 pmWell, I can’t talk for the 3DS games since I don’t game on Nintendo platforms but talking about all the Dept. Heaven games back on the PSP, the Persona games, Growlanser, Vanillaware localized titles, Blazblue, the Zero Escape series and a couple others, I honestly don’t see a poor job on localization whatsoever. If there are liberties, they were very hard to spot on unlike Gaijinworks’ or NISA’s. In regards to delays in EU, that’s a whole different issue; we are judging quality of localization, not distribution. So I stand by what I said, XSEED is really good, but they aren’t the only good company localizing games~.
MGDays
February 18, 2017 at 5:58 pmXseed has released multiple games with original JP audio in the past. Celceta is an exception, however it had so little in the way of spoken dialogue that it made little difference.

February 18, 2017 at 7:34 pm“but they aren’t the only good company localizing games”
They are, however, the tried and true company handling all prior Ys games, so they have a provable track record of awesome translations and great respect for the source material on this particular series (and all others, to be honest).
Juan Manuel M. Suárez
February 18, 2017 at 7:56 pmYeah well, now they no longer have the rights to Ys VIII, that’s pretty much final. Maybe people should’ve supported their localization efforts instead of port beg for Celceta, CSI & II, Seven and others to go to PS4 and / or PC~.

February 18, 2017 at 8:48 pmTheir localization efforts were well supported with great sales. Likely, the biggest factor here was the PC porting team and money, so sadly, I doubt this would have changed in any way, shape or form.
Sorathecrow
February 18, 2017 at 10:33 pmXSEED never ever would have ported the game to PC…because they don’t do ports. If they’d gotten the rights, Falcom would be missing out on the PC market XSEED had done so well to build for them.

February 18, 2017 at 10:35 pmThis is the first newly released Falcom game in recent memory to get a PC version, and you’re going to crap all over it? Good riddance. If it were up to Xseed, they’d have just translated it for the existing platforms and called it a day. This is Falcom answering a lot of gamers’ requests for more PC versions of their games.

February 18, 2017 at 10:37 pmPretty much my thoughts exactly.
Xseed is awesome and all that, but at the end of the day they sadly lacked either the ambition or ability to grow with the Japanese games on Steam market they themselves started, on top of becoming bigger to the point of being able to handle multiple “flagship” tier games.

February 18, 2017 at 10:38 pmIt’s the beginning of a glorious return to Falcom’s once-home on PC.

February 18, 2017 at 11:04 pmNow if only Falcom announces ToCS3 PC port…

February 18, 2017 at 11:53 pmWe need all of the others too, please. But I imagine if Ys and Xanadu do well they won’t hesitate with Trails.
uncle_alfred
February 19, 2017 at 2:53 amOr they will stay off the west or PC. Which i don’t would happen, since trails is doing kinda ok, i think? Maybe? Fuck me and my negative outlook on those things.
Anyway, i will certainly not preorder it, that is for sure, gonna wait and see what happens with it closer to the release, maybe miracle will occur and they are gonna hold on on the crappy forced jokes and try to localize it in a way that is faithful to the original.
mew
February 19, 2017 at 5:56 amNo they didn’t. Proof is most falcom games not released by them had dual audio or original voices at least. NISA or Aksys>XSEED any day. I hope they no longer get any Ys game tbh. Also hopefully whoever port Cold Steel on Steam if that happens is not them so we get dual audio.

February 19, 2017 at 6:48 amAksys is kinda hit and miss in their localizations.
On one hand their Muramasa Rebirth was great compared to the godawful localization of the Wii version done by someone else but on the other hand their low was when someone pointed out the shoddy translation of one their Otome VNs on twitter and they simply blocked her.
But from what i understood they outsource the translation of those Otome games.
DizzyGear
February 19, 2017 at 6:51 amNeither does NISA since they outsource the ports. XSEED could have done the same. Hell they already did with Akiba’s Trip.

February 19, 2017 at 10:15 amI don’t see NISA ruining this game.

February 19, 2017 at 10:27 amLooks like I’ll have to pirate and and seed this game for a few months. Must do my civic duty. The right side of history and all that.

February 19, 2017 at 10:34 amI think it’s a simple matter of money. Nisa just outbid Xseed.
I love Xseed but they are a small company and not very rich compared to Nis(a).
MGDays
February 19, 2017 at 11:29 amIf you find there to be a problem with supporting the company that brought Ys back to the West then you too can join me in killing ourselves.
MGDays
February 19, 2017 at 11:30 amPirating and seeding is a stronger form of protest than simply ignoring it.
MGDays
February 19, 2017 at 11:31 amI’m sorry that you see it this way. I guess it’s good to not be aware of NISA’s failures over the years.
MGDays
February 19, 2017 at 11:33 amI’m truly sorry you see things that way. I’m not sure how anyone could prefer a release from NISA over anything. Again, I apologise that you think that way.
mew
February 19, 2017 at 1:20 pmTell me why Earth Defense Force 4.1 has dual audio on Steam when it’s not published by XSEED?!?! It’s pretty clear to me XSEED doesn’t give a damn about that and would had forced english dub only through our throat if it had been them localizing Ys VIII.
MGDays
February 19, 2017 at 2:05 pmAs a firm believer in dual audio, I can safely say that I’d take an English dub from Xseed than a censored & game with bugs not even present in the original JP release from NISA. Again, I apologise for your current way of thinking.
Juan Manuel M. Suárez
February 19, 2017 at 3:38 pmUh huh, and if you get to play the game from beginning to end for free that’s just an, uh, “sacrifice” on your noble part, no? I’m sorry, do you actually tell yourself that load of crap with a straight face or do you burst into laughter halfway through~?
Cael
February 19, 2017 at 3:42 pmDon’t engage with Mew. He’s a NISA apologist. Look at the tripe he said over at Gematsu.
>There’s no problem with NISA localizations anyway. They’re just big babies. Only times they fucked up were Criminal Girls and Mugen Souls but those big babies continue to throw their drama round because they can’t grow up.
Juan Manuel M. Suárez
February 19, 2017 at 3:46 pmAll I’m saying is that it’s not uncommon practice in the World of business, no? Marvelous did it and now NISA did it, I mean, at least they only got the rights to one game and not the series itself~.
I have my LE preordered but I would be lying if I say that I’m not dreading finding myself with a butchered localization. However, on the topic of censorship, there’s nothing to censor (no fanservice that I’m aware of), PSV games of the past couple years have been bug ridden. Not to mention, I’ve played Corpse Party Blood Drive and that thing crashed my PSV several times, some of those to the point I thought it was bricking it. Of course, one game vs all the fuckups NISA had back in the day is nothing but bugs happen, everywhere. The ratio is another issue~.
Juan Manuel M. Suárez
February 19, 2017 at 3:47 pmFunny (as in the coincidence) you say that because I’m in the process of trying to finish Tales of Hearts R and really, the awful localization makes me want to gouge my eyes out. I couldn’t agree more, Bamco is usually awful at localizations~.
Juan Manuel M. Suárez
February 19, 2017 at 3:49 pmThe only things NISA censored are fanservice lolis and minigames. At least, that I’m aware of though really, I missed on a ton of stuff during the PS3 era so do correct me if I’m wrong~.

February 19, 2017 at 4:23 pmAh I’m sure you have better things to do with your time; like pirating whatever game you are protesting this week~.
Sorathecrow
February 19, 2017 at 4:54 pmBut is punishing Falcom in the process okay with you? Because it isn’t to me.
MGDays
February 19, 2017 at 5:12 pmI believe it’s prudent to punish Falcom for simply going with the highest bidder without taking in to consideration the reputation of the company they’re sharing their franchise with.
I can only hope Falcom realises the error of their judgement when the game receives overwhelmingly negative reviews due to NISA’s censorship policies and the several game breaking bugs that players will come across that never got an ounce of testing pre-release.
buddyluv324
February 19, 2017 at 8:23 pmI like Hatsuu alright, but why is she such a snowflake? I get that she’s not pleased on not being able to work on the latest Ys game, but if she keeps up with the dramatics it’s going to be Akiba’s Trip all over again.
Fenrir007
February 19, 2017 at 9:25 pmIt’s important to take a stand and show Falcon we are NOT okay with their choice. If this makes enough of a dent, then they might reconsider future partnerships with NISA. While I won’t do something like pirating, I will definitely not give my money to them, and will simply buy the game used, instead, so no money goes to NISA.
Fenrir007
February 19, 2017 at 9:27 pm>…why do you have to pirate it instead of just skipping?
I’d wager he just wants to play the game without feeding money to NISA. I mean, his posts are very clear on the fact that he loves Ys but hates NISA.
I would like to remind everyone that there are legal ways to play a game without giving the company a single cent as well. Buying it used, asking for a friend to lend it to you if they happen to buy it, renting (if that is still a thing in your country) and so on.
Fenrir007
February 19, 2017 at 9:28 pmEver noticed how easy to undub and mod all XSEED games are? They are like that for a reason. If they can’t get the contract to the VA’s job, they at least won’t hinder anyone’s efforts to mod it themselves.

February 19, 2017 at 9:31 pm“Or they will stay off the west or PC.”
All other Ys games were a sales success. If this one in particular flops, they will know pretty well what changed and work to fix that.
Fenrir007
February 19, 2017 at 9:32 pm“If there’s one thing to be worried about is quality of localization.”
We also have to be worried about bugs. They love dem bugs over at NISA, so much they keep them around once found.

February 19, 2017 at 10:50 pm>I’m going to protest and boycott X thing!

Perfect logic there my friend. 10/10.

February 20, 2017 at 2:27 amYou two can seethe all you want; he’ll be playing the game while not giving money to NISA.
Who really loses in that scenario?
mew
February 20, 2017 at 4:43 amYs VIII is not going to be censored. Still not going to buy it because you hate NISA unconditionally? As for bugs, they’ve gotten better on PC, their recent games were fine and they even went as far as giving 60fps upgrade to their ports for people who hate 30fps, so I don’t see the problem. The whole “NISA censors everything” is a meme.
mew
February 20, 2017 at 4:46 amIt is easy because modders are good at it, not because XSEED made it easy to mod on purpose. And please stop believing the things they say, it’s pretty clear they could get the JP voice, they just decided not to because it’s “too expensive”. They shit on JP voices lover, just like Atlus does.
Sean Sharpe
February 20, 2017 at 5:18 amIt’s a Falcom game. It really doesn’t have any content that NISA can censor. I mean, even the mandatory fucking “beach DLC” is pretty freaking tame… The most risque thing from what I saw is Dana’s outfit… Which seems unchanged.
Bugs might be an issue though.
LaTaleFan1985
February 20, 2017 at 6:13 amAny chance that we’ll see Ys: Memories of Celceta make its way to PC with Japanese audio in addition? I really hope so. ?
LibidinBoy
February 20, 2017 at 9:00 amin fact I used to think nichegamer exagerated with all the translation/censorship things, until I met Tales of Heart R. The awfulness at the localization is hiperbolic
Himegami Aisa
February 20, 2017 at 2:32 pmAre you really going moralfag here? If said legal methods give as much to the company as piracy then what difference is there ethically? In any case, why get uppity over someone pirating on principle when most people torrent simply because they couldn’t be fucked paying for it?
Himegami Aisa
February 20, 2017 at 2:38 pmNo, they just shit on the script of every game they touch. And their games might not be broken by their retarded programmers and they’ll maybe even think twice about jewing you over with DLC! Nice apologetics there.
Fenrir007
February 20, 2017 at 7:04 pmXSeed undubbing is literally just swapping files, that’s fucking it.
“it’s pretty clear they could get the JP voice”
How do you know?
Fenrir007
February 20, 2017 at 7:09 pmI’m just making sure even moralfags have the alternative to not fund this monstruosity while still playing it if they want (because we know damn well how little self control gamers have – the CoD boycott is still vivid in my mind).

Himegami Aisa
February 21, 2017 at 8:44 amThe only kids here are the editors at NISA who think it’s acceptable to do shit like change a character’s name to Esty Dee to the guffaws of 13yos and exasperated eyerolls of anyone whose humour is a little more refined than your typical Friedberg and Seltzer fare.
UnpluggedBeta
February 21, 2017 at 10:29 amCan confirm that they are terrible. It’s like they try and rewrite characters to be more quirky. Plus the censorship of violence of all things is mind-numbingly stupid.
That being said, they didn’t grab Ys away from Xseed; we could sit here all day talking about companies which aren’t as good as Atlus.
UnpluggedBeta
February 21, 2017 at 10:32 amI love jumping on NISA fate, but let’s be fair: they were on point on releasing updates for the Disgaea pc port (though the actual port job itself was revealed to be laughably shitty).
UnpluggedBeta
February 21, 2017 at 10:35 amYo ho ho for great justice.

February 21, 2017 at 10:40 amThat’s a good point to be honest; it helped fuel my rage at a NISA handling of the port, but…. yeah, looking back she looks like a snowflake grasping for attention.
mew
February 21, 2017 at 11:15 amI’m just glad your retarded shit will be proven wrong soon when all the characters names will be revealed and you won’t be able to bitch about something that will not happen.
Fenrir007
February 21, 2017 at 6:16 pmDisgaea is the only thing they handle well, probably because it’s their pet series.
Fenrir007
February 21, 2017 at 6:17 pmThat is not free, and XSEED is a lot tinier than the companies you mentioned. They could? Yes. Was it financially viable? I highly doubt it.
mew
February 22, 2017 at 2:12 amThen XSEED should let them take those games. Fuck them if they don’t want to give us JP voices.
Fenrir007
February 22, 2017 at 9:47 pmI will take good localization over game breaking (and console breaking) bugs and memescripts, especially since we can just mod the japanese voices ourselves.

February 23, 2017 at 12:20 am“looking back she looks like a snowflake grasping for attention.”
Well yeah, she’s a woman.
mew
February 23, 2017 at 3:41 amPoint is Falcom chose NISA and I’m glad for it. XSEED is probably gonna lose all the next Ys games too because they can’t provide quality Japanese voices or PC versions to their customers. This is a good thing. I don’t care that you hate NISA, if XSEED can’t give what people want they should gtfo.
Fenrir007
February 23, 2017 at 6:19 pmNISA can’t provide games that work, love censorship and insert “ebin memes” all around their very liveral lolcalization. If that’s your cup of tea, great. I will wait until some fan retranslates the abortion they release.
TT
February 24, 2017 at 12:19 am>If it were up to Xseed, they’d have just translated it for the existing platforms and called it a day
considering how there’s plenty of localizers that like to fuck things up for no discernible reason, I think “translating it and calling it a day” is preferable over “crappy translations while introducing bugs”
mew
February 24, 2017 at 3:19 pm>muh censorship
Stop this meme, Ys VIII won’t be censored. And their translations are fine, quit using Neptunia as an example.
Fenrir007
February 24, 2017 at 11:10 pmNeptunia is hardly the only example, and the only memes are the ones NISA loves inserting in their garbage.
mew
February 25, 2017 at 11:34 amDanganronpa translation was fine and that’s one of their recent releases. Stop being retarded. I really wish NISA would just put a statement saying they won’t censor the game and will work their best to provide a good translation so idiots like you could stfu already.

Fenrir007
