Prey Reboot Launches on May 5

Bethesda has announced that Arkane Studio’s reboot of the Prey series will be launching May 5th.

This announcement comes with a new gameplay trailer (featured above), showing off the FPS’ unique sci-fi horror gameplay.

People who pre-order Prey will also have access to the Cosmonaut Shotgun Pack, a DLC booster pack that includes a unique shotgun along with upgrades and ammo fabrication materials.

Prey is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

So will they be bringing back the original Prey to Steam or do they think we don’t care about legacy titles?

I love me a good single player shooter to play.

Came here to see what the community was saying and wow, not even enough buzz to be disappointed, snarky, or hate on it.

While that Prey 2 would’ve been more than likely a boring Ubisoft open world FPS if it was released around the same time, I love the concept alone and wish they’d use it.

I only saw that trailer and it looks badass. Now,there are many ways this could go wrong but it’s a great idea I would like to see put into practice.

Yeah I think most people just pretty much gave up on this series.

This honestly looks so much better than the old Prey 2 concept, now I hope it actually turns out to be as good as it looks

It’s bethesda. Also if you know anything about the first game and what this game was SUPPOSED to be you wouldn’t touch it with a mile long pole.

They wouldn’t. Zenimax and Bethesda tried to kill Human Head with Prey 2, they didn’t care about the game at all and that’s why they’re rebooting it. It’s the final “fuck you” to Human Head for escaping their grasp.

It looks good.Clearly in need of polish but this could’ve been such a fun title.

I originally did, then I heard Avellone wrote for it. He’s a writer with some skill so I put it back on my radar, but nothing about this game looked appealing in the last two gameplay trailers.

I hope Human Heads next Open World game is as cool as Prey 2 was going to be. I wonder when it’s going to be announced.

It was supposed to be announced in June 2015 but I can’t find anything about it.

Yeah it’s pretty quiet, even their project with Shinra seems to have disappeared. They’re hiring, so that hopefully provides hope that they have some unannounced project in the works. Hopefully we’ll hear something at E3 this year.

Hopefully.I don’t wanna see another dev go under because they signed a contract with the wrong publisher.

They have other deals they’re managed to snag working on smaller projects and technology, so I don’t think they’ll go bankrupt. I’d really like to see them take a crack at another Open World Game though.
