While we’ve known that the Wii U version of Stardew Valley was dropped in lieu of the hot new commodity known as the Nintendo Switch, it remained unclear if the game would make the new console’s launch. Now, developer Eric Barone of Concernedape has confirmed it won’t make launch, but it’s coming in 2017.
In a new dev blog, Barone confirmed the Harvest Moon-spiritual successor will launch sometime this year for the Switch. A very interesting tidbit came out of the same update, however, where Barone teased the game’s arrival on another handheld of sorts – the PlayStation Vita.
“We are currently investigating the possibility of a PS Vita port,” Barone said in the update.
Stardew Valley is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. In case you missed it, you can find my review for Stardew Valley here (I highly recommend it).
