Atelier Firis Western Release Dates Set for March 2017

Koei Tecmo has announced the western release date for Atelier Firis: the Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey.

The latest in their alchemy-themed RPG series will launch across PC, PS Vita, and PlayStation 4 on March 7th in North America and on March 10th in Europe.

Koei Tecmo revealed a new batch of screenshots introducing some of the main characters like Drossel, Oskar, Plachta, and even Sophie – all of which join the story from the previous game – Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book. There’s also new characters, like Revy.

Here’s the new set of screenshots, via Koei Tecmo:

I’ve always been interested in jumping into this series, but now the list of games is huge and intimidating. Can I enjoy this one as my first Atelier game or do I need to play previous titles?

Only Atelier Iris 1,2 and 3 were released for the west on PS2.( There may be a few fan english patch for the one not released )

You might want to look into Mana Khemia too 1 and 2 kind of a spin off for the Atelier games Both of them are really good,
    ( Really wish they’ll make a Mana Khemia 3 someday….)

But then again they are Not your typical Atelier games, i would recommend The Arland Trilogy on Ps3 if you want to start or Any of the Dusk Trilogy like Atelier Escha and Logy or even The Recent Atelier Sophie may be a good start too.
