    Full Disclosure: I have financially backed Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night on Kickstarter.

    Castlevania mastermind Koji Igarashi has announced a delay for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. The Castlevania: Symphony of the Night spiritual successor will forgo its planned March 2017 release for one even further into the future – the first half of 2018.

    Featured above, Igarashi-san talked up the reasoning behind the delay, saying: “The last thing I want to do is keep our backers waiting, but after receiving such incredible support, I feel responsible for delivering the best product I possibly can. Again, I offer my sincerest apologies.”

    Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is currently in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, PC, Mac, Linux, and PS Vita.
