The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a massive RPG, and its getting a robust expansion at the end of this month – however fans have been wondering if this really is the final chapter for Geralt of Rivia.

Now, we’ve learned (via Eurogamer) that the upcoming “Blood and Wine” expansion is without a doubt the last piece of content for the game.

“No, this is the last thing we deliver,” game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz said while mentioning the developer is moving onto their next RPG, Cyberpunk 2077.

The developer will continue to support The Witcher 3 via bug fixes and patches, however, while also wholeheartedly supporting its budding modding community.

While the official Modkit tools have been available to fans, many are still waiting for the Redkit modding suite they’ve been accustomed to since the Witcher 2. Tomaszkiewicz said that he’s hopeful CD Projekt RED can “do something,” but couldn’t say more.

“I don’t got such information to be honest,” he said. “We want to support our community and I hope that we will do something.”

The Witcher 3’s Blood and Wine expansion is launching on May 31st. In case you missed it, you can find our review for the game here (we highly recommend it).
