Mass Exodus Continues As Mass Effect Writer Leaves BioWare

With David Gaider leaving, Casey Hudson going to Microsoft, Dan Tudge making new D&D games with n-Space, and both of its founders having left a couple years back, the Canadian CRPG company that revitalized the genre in the late 90s doesn’t look much like it did when they dominated the scene with their Infinity Engine games. This isn’t likely to change either, with news coming out today that the lead writer of the Mass Effect: Andromeda, Chris Schlerf, has left BioWare to join Destiny developer Bungie.

Talking about the departure on his twitter account, Schlerf reassured Mass Effect fans by stating the new title will, quote, “blow people away”.

Schlerf previous worked for 343 industries where he contributed to the story of Halo 4, so writing for Bungie shouldn’t be too foreign for him.
